Welcome to the 2022 TMXC Season!
Coach Bekeske is the new head coach of TMXC!
Parent Meeting: Monday, August 8, 2022. 6 p.m. in the Trimpe Middle School Cafeteria.
Eagle Nation and Parents,
Welcome to the Trimpe Middle School Cross Country information page! This page has been created to house the documents, forms, and links that parents and athletes will need to get the season started and keep it rolling. We also have a Trimpe Middle School Facebook Page. We wanted to keep the electronic documents in one spot so it would be a one stop shop for parents. Please join the Remind Group please click HERE to join. We will use Remind throughout the season for cancellations, information, and you are able to text me Coach Bekeske through it. Also, feel free to contact me through my email [email protected].
Currently, we are focusing on getting everyone signed up! All athletes must have paperwork submitted prior to practicing
(Aug 15). We are excited that parents can complete paperwork at the link below!
Reminder: Trimpe Cross Country is a 6th - 8th Grade Sport!
What paperwork do I need?
1.) An insurance waiver (can be found and completed electronically at the link below)
2.) New physical (athletes must have a new physical every year)
3.) Athletic Fee (this is required to be turned in prior to the first competition)
4.) Additional forms may be required in the electronic paperwork turn in system.
* It is also possible to compete in two sports during the same season at Trimpe Middle School. You will find a form at the link below if you wish to to do this.
** Use the link below to access the school website location for digital paperwork turn in.

In middle school cross country, students race on grass course 2 miles in length. I don't expect everyone to be able to do this on day one! It is a sport where everyone can start at their current fitness level and get better. Running is fun when done with positive attitudes, teammates, and eventually competition.
You may be wondering what your child can be doing to prepare now. I will list ideas for varying levels below.
NEW TO RUNNING/CROSS COUNTRY- Walk/Jog 2 miles until you can jog the majority of 2 miles. This will time. It can be mixed with cross training like bike riding, swimming, and other sports.
EXPERIENCED/HAS BEEN RUNNING-
2-3 DAYS A WEEK- 2 + miles running (easy runs)
1-2 Days A Week - Running mileage with pace changes
1 Day A Week - Long Run (Mileage longest of week at comfortable pace)
It can be mixed with cross training like bike riding, swimming, and other sports.
Remember to start SLOW! Injuries happen from doing too much too fast! Mileage and workouts should slowly intensify over weeks. Never ruin tomorrow's workout with today's! If you have an injury, REST!
I hope between this page, the Facebook page (www.facebook.com/trimpemiddleschoolxc/), and the Remind Group we can keep everyone informed.
